Darlington Forge Albion were a works team that stepped in to represent Darlington in the Victory League after Darlington FC had "disappeared", writing off debts, during World War I. They took over Feethams and reverted to the Darlington FC name, taking over their place in the Northern Eastern League from 1919-20.
