In the 33rd minute, Bobby Gurney turned a lose ball goalwards only to see Challinor dive full length and scoop the ball out with his hand; even the full-back admitted it was a yard over the line when he handled, Gurney then followed up to put the ball in the net. Ridiculously, the referee awarded a penalty rather than a goal. Gurney then sent the spot-kick wide.
